After everything that happened that day she went to the CatHouse with Oz. She took care of all the paperwork she had to at the CatHouse, other then the movie casting. She put off the shooting for another few days. She spent time with Oz and once he was asleep, she went to work. Pulling out her lap top, she first decided to start looking further into Rifka Monotov and the man that was with her. She needed as much information as possible before she brought her offer to the table the following day. Afterwards, once all the information she could collect was sent to print, she put in the flashdrive she recieved from Wil and she spent the next few hours going over all the information there and printing what she felt she would need. Dawn was going to be a very busy girl for a long time. It would even seem a trip to New York might be in the cards. She sighed to herself at that though. This time, it would be known she was there.

The man that came to the bar with Rifka would have popped up as soon as Dawn ran the name Cullen Montoya.
Not very much can be found on him until about 10 years ago. That's right about the time Lev Montonov began to have issues with the San Francisco faction of the Chinese Triad.
His police records only have his conviction of manslaughter three years ago. Details of the incident are sealed, but there were some autopsy photos of the man he supposedly killed. It was obvious that the man had his neck broken after a very violent fight.
He was recently released from prison after only three years due to a combination of good behavior and some legal finagling from his lawyer.
There are several news reports and newspaper articles talking about the kidnapping of Dara Montonova and the near fatal shooting of her bodyguard, Thia DuShane. Reports suggest that Cullen was the first to arrive at the scene, administering life-saving first aid to Miss DuShane until paramedics arrived. Some rumors say that he has some medical experience due to the way he was able to control the bleeding until help arrived. Rather than giving a statement to authorities, Cullen got into his car and raced from the scene. His whereabouts were unknown until a 911 call from a warehouse owned by Johnny Trang. Johnny was suspected to be a high-ranking member within the Chinese Triad, but no evidence had ever been found to confirm that. When police arrived, they found several of Johnny's associates unconscious around the warehouse. Cullen was found inside the warehouse, bloody and beaten but alert and conscious. Later, detectives were able to match the bullets taken from Miss DuShane to a gun found in Trang's possession, confirming him to be the shooter.
The public was split on how they felt about Cullen. Some saw him as a hero for what he had done. Others were convinced that he was involved with the kidnapping and shooting himself. His initial charges were that of second degree murder, but his lawyer, Chaslinn Rose, was able to work out a deal with the district attorney to get the charges dropped down to manslaughter. He did three years on a five-year sentence.
The police still consider him a person of interest in several ongoing, unsolved cases. Though, so far, no evidence has been brought forth to make him a suspect. It's just a gut feeling from several law enforcers that Cullen has been more involved in things than anybody knows about. There is even some speculation that Cullen has operated previous to his association with Lev Montonov under a different name.
A lot of questions swirl about Cullen Montoya's background, and it is still a mystery to most.

After finding all the info about Cullen she made a note to let the club know exactly who he was. She then began to copy the files she found, plus the ones on that flash drive to her phone as she began a new shirt, looking up a few names. Wil O'Kelly. Lev Monotov. Thia Dushane. Osbourne Griffin. She also looked up all of the members of the Vipers M.C. She was on a information hunt that night. Now, let's see what she found.

After looking on the flash drive she would have found history records including Geneology. It showed that while he was from Ireland itself he had relitives that was there in the States, such as the infamous Machine Gun Kelly. Further on them in incripted files where pictures that where stamped with Classified upon them. In them could be seen clearly a group of five all dressed in fatigues. The easiest of them to notice of course was Wil himself with his arm around a women and a man who while the two made eyes at each other. Upon cross referencing it could be found that he had actually served in a counter terrorist group in Northern Ireland while his kid sister served along side him. Further traced down could be seen that all members of that group just left the military at the same time. While digging slightly deeper after they left could be discerned that Wil had been appointed to a position in the Embassy, while the other members of his group where on security detail. Once getting futher through the flash drives incriptions would be one picture that stuck out. It was similar to that of the one in the fatigues but the women was in a white dress holding the hands of the man Wil had his arms around. The other two men stood at attention with weapons at the ready forming an arch for the couple to walk beneath.

The following information would be found when Rifka's name was run through the various databases.
Rifka was born in the Central-Alameda area of Los Angeles to South American parents. She lost both of her parents when she was 6 when the low income apartment building they were living in collapsed, killing them both. Rifka bounced around within the foster system until she was 10. By this time, Rifka had become a bit of a handful. She was in trouble several times due to truancy and other petty offenses. It wasn't until a man named Miguel Osaar found her that her life began to turn around. Miguel ran a local dojo and community center, geared toward getting kids off the streets and back into school.
Rifka flourished under Miguel's care, and quickly became one of his most promising students. She won several local martial arts competition in her youth, and when combined with her academics, was able to qualify for several scholarships. Enrolling at a local community college, she majored in business and marketing. She still always returned to Miguel's community center, volunteering her time to help other kids like her.
It was shortly after she graduated from college that she met Lev Montonov. Learning that several grants were being awarded to various foundations, Rifka found a way to sneak her way into the fundraiser to sell her case. There are video clips from local media showing her impassioned plea, and the look of both surprise and amusement on Lev's face. There was no doubt that Rifka was a force to be reckoned with.
A couple weeks after the fundraiser, several paparazzi photographs would show her on what was clearly a date with Lev. She was smiling in most of the photos, and there was no denying that Lev looked absolutely smitten by the fiery young woman. There would be hundreds of pictures of the two of them together over the next several months until finally a news article would pop up announcing their engagement.
Their wedding was a media sensation. Press was everywhere. One of Los Angeles' most eligible bachelors was marrying a relatively unknown. The press were certainly having a field day with Rifka, but there was nothing scandalous. Many were surprised that a man with such a dubious reputation would go for a woman like Rifka. More than that, many couldn't understand how such a promising, intelligent young woman would fall for a man like Lev Montonov.
Nothing particularly exciting happened for a while until tabloid articles of Rifka started popping up. Most of the photos were focused around what appeared to be a baby bump. Soon, the family issued a press release announcing that the couple would be expecting their first child soon. The press was all over the story, speculating about everything from the sex of the child to the due date. A couple of the more unscrupulous reporters were even suggesting that perhaps the child wasn't even Lev's.
All of the rumors and speculation came to rest on October 15th when Rifka gave birth to the couple's first and only child, Dara Lenova Montonova. The couple was overjoyed with the birth of their child, being seen all over Los Angeles with the small bundle cradled in her arms.
Several private files will pop up as well, noting that it was shortly after Dara's birth that a pair of names begin showing up on the Montonov financial records. Cullen Montoya and Thia DuShane. Cullen is often listed under the heading “Securities and Acquisitions” while Thia is listed under “Personal Security”. Most of Cullen's personnel files are sealed behind government-level priority protocols, making them virtually impossible to hack into.
There are thousands of pictures available of the family together over the years, often with a long-haired man or a very muscular female lingering in the background. There would also be numerous articles on the charitable work that the family did for the community. Most notably, the complete renovation on the community center that Rifka herself credits for turning her life around. She is still listed on the center's board of directors.
Three years ago, articles all over the country would be written about the tragic murder of Lev and the attempted kidnapping of his daughter. There would be many photographs of a grief stricken Rifka and Dara, whether it was walking the streets of LA or leaving the funeral. From that point on, Rifka could be seen with a notable intensity in her eyes. Gone was the doting wife and loving mother. In her place was a fierce, indomitable businesswoman.

All kinds of information would start popping up as soon as Thia's name was run through databases.
Thia DuShane was born in the Central-Alameda section of Los Angeles to Brazilian parents. She was the oldest of two children, having a brother, Damien, who was several years younger than her. Both children were raised by their single mother until she passed away suddenly from heart failure when Thia was only 15. At such a young age, she was forced to be both mother and father to her younger brother. Their father preferred the needle over the idea of caring for children.
Thia worked odd jobs through most of high school, while also attending the Osaar Community Center, where she excelled in Judo. Modeling herself after Rifka Montonov, she used her abilities to rise up from poverty and took full advantage of the scholarships offered her. She enrolled in a local community college, majoring in criminal justice and automotive repair. Her dream was to become a police officer, but she was always a very reasonable woman. She knew she would not be able to do it forever, so she had already planned for a second career as a mechanic. She always had a love of cars and tinkering.
It wasn't long into her college studies that tragedy struck Thia again. Her brother, Damien, had been in a horrific car accident as a result of illegal street racing. She was just a student at the time. She had no real money, and the medical bills for coming fast and hard. Fearing she would have to leave school so she could pay for the extensive recovery her brother needed, she finally got a break.
A very pregnant Rifka Montonov came to see Damien in the hospital. Rifka had heard about the family's story through her connections within the community center, something she had never stopped being involved with. Rifka didn't offer to take care of the expenses. She simply took care of them, leaving Thia with nothing to worry about but the recovery of her little brother. Overwhelmed by the generosity, Thia offered to do anything to repay the Montonov family. Rifka decided that rather than monetary payment, she would put Thia to work. She gave Thia the most important job of them all. Thia was appointed personal bodyguard to Rifka and her unborn child.
Thia dove into her new job with great enthusiasm, proving to Rifka that she had been the perfect choice. From that moment on, Thia was the family's shadow. She went everywhere they went. As far as Rifka and Dara. Lev had been very firm on handling his own security details.
Information about Thia finances would show that she opened up her own automotive garage about five years ago. While she was listed as the owner, her brother was listed as the shop manager. It was a specialty shop, mostly focused on restorations and modifications. They did some repairs, but the majority of their income came from restorations and modifications. The shop was very popular with a certain subset of racers. It might suggest that Damien DuShane's near fatal car accident hadn't deterred the siblings from their love of street racing. Yet oddly enough, the most frequent customers tend to be friends of Thia from college. Customers who tend to work in various forms of law enforcement.
Several news and tabloid articles would be found going into detail about her shooting several years later. The official report says that, Thia was leaving the Santa Monica pier with Lev Montonov and his daughter around 7pm after spending most of the day at the carnival. Four suspects wearing masks approached their vehicle. Lev Montonov was shot three times in the chest and once in the shoulder. Thia was shot twice in the chest, once in the shoulder, and twice in the leg. The bullets narrowly missed her heart and major arteries, but the damage was extensive nonetheless. It would take Thia several months of physical therapy to fully recover from the extent of her injuries.
Since the shooting, Thia has been spending the majority of her time working in the body shop with her brother. She can occasionally be seen around Los Angeles with Dara Montonova, continuing to serve as a part-time bodyguard for the young woman, or driving Rifka Montonov around Los Angeles as her driver.

The screen would be flooded with information the moment Dawn began to run Lev Montonov's name through the system.
Lev was born in St. Petersburg, Russia. He emigrated to the United States when he was only 10 years old. His early years were spent in infamous Little Odessa, New York. Otherwise known as Brighton Beach, New York. His criminal record was mostly minor, petty crime that could be written off as normal kid stuff. The occasional pickpocket or shoplifting. Nothing that would be considered too serious.
He quickly rose up through the ranks of the New York branch of the Russian mafia, working under Alexi Dolovski. Lev developed a reputation for being a very shrewd, highly effective soldier. He is rumored to have been involved in at least a dozen different murders in the New York area. But muscle wasn't his greatest attribute. Lev had a natural mind for business, especially money-laundering. With his natural charm and good looks, he became a face for the Russian mob. He refused their financial backing to establish legitimate businesses to run their money through. The operation started off small, restaurants, laundry mats, vending machines. But it soon began to grow bigger and bigger under Lev's unquestionable skill.
With hopes of branching out, he was sent out to establish the family's interests in Los Angeles, succeeding where so many before him had failed. Taking advantage of his status as a virtual unknown, Lev established himself with in Los Angeles' social circles. He was the Wolf walking amongst sheep. He used the Mafia's backing to establish several high-end restaurants and hotels before moving into entertainment and public relations. It didn't take long before Lev Montonov was the man to go to to establish a reputation within Los Angeles.
Police reports suggest that he was a person of interest among the many unsolved criminal cases. It was noticed how the crime rate raised significantly upon his arrival to the city of Los Angeles before gradually dropping. A few years after his arrival, the primary actually leveled out to what was considered an acceptable level. The authorities could get nothing on him that was anything could be taken to a judge. Every time an investigation was opened into the activities of Lev, the case was mysteriously shut down from someone up high. The police believe he was involved in everything from drug trafficking to gunrunning to prostitution. But they could find nothing definitive.
It was around this time that Lev began a personal crusade against human trafficking. He spoke many times on his intent to stop all forms of human trafficking wherever and however he could. Because of this stance, he became a media darling. Lev went from being a very wealthy, charismatic businessman to the leader of the cause people could get behind. It was also around this time that it was becoming known that he was in a relationship with Rifka.
The announcement of his marriage also coincided with an increase in his spending. On the surface, this increase could be written off as the price of wedding arrangements. Some digging would reveal that Lev was sending large sums of money to an account registered in the Cayman Islands. Further digging would reveal that the money was going to a company known for its connection to a private security group with a very questionable reputation. He had also been sending significantly smaller payments back to his superiors in New York.
With the birth of his daughter, his records indicate that he spent a great deal of money on state-of-the-art security systems around his home and office as well as all of his automobiles. It was also around this time that he acquired a substantial interest within Mars Manufacturing, a corporation with several government weapon and equipment contracts. On paper, this would look like nothing more than an investment, but a deeper look shows that Lev was spending significant amounts of money on military grade weapons and equipment. Almost as if he was preparing himself for a war.
Crime rates rose significantly within Los Angeles a few years later. The murder rate skyrocketed as well as the cases of unsolved deaths. Authorities recognize there was some sort of street war, but none of them could explain who was behind it all. Many suspected Lev's involvement, but nothing substantial could be found.
Lev Montonov was shot and killed leaving the Santa Monica pier with his daughter and her bodyguard. Two bullets struck Lev in the chest, tearing his aorta and puncturing his left lung. He died before the emergency services should reach the hospital. He left behind his wife, Rifka, and their daughter, Dara. His final will and testament left everything to his wife with a substantial portion being held in trust until his daughter's 21st birthday. His final financial record indicates that he was worth well over $1 billion with assets in many major corporations within the United States as well as several European and Eastern European companies.
