Today was the day, Devils Due would be opening it's doors for it's grand opening. What better day then one used as an excuse to party, get trashed and blow shit up? That was her view on the fourth and hell, she'd go with it. Bare feet padded along the black concrete floor while putting the finishing touches on the inside of the shop. Everything was ready to go, everything had been sterilized and processed. All the materiel needed, ink, needles and such had been stocked. There was no damn way she'd be running out of shit any time soon. Of course, that's to say she actually had a decent turn out tonight. Because of being a new Tattoo shop, Alyssa hadn't hired on to many. In fact, countering herself, there were only three artist that would be working. Crazy? Yea, but who doesn't like crazy?
Something no one would even notice about the place was how secured it was. The main security system was hidden well in her apartment just above the shop itself. None of the camera's even looked as such. In fact, the were laced in with the décor so well none would have even guessed. The door's to the Due had been unlocked, always were when she'd been there cleaning, reorganizing and or just trying to get things set up. She'd placed signs all over the front windows and doors that the business was closed to the public, due to that, none had ever just walked in. Until now.
"Hello their pretty lady, so this is what this place is going to be.."
Alyssa's body tensed as she door swung open and the voice echoed.. She'd been bent over, putting a few towels away at one of the stations when he'd waltzed in. Lifting her form, she'd turn slowly planting one of those oh so fake, happy to see you smiles. " It's a tattoo shop, yes. Unfortunately we're not open just yet. You can stop back by tonight for the grand opening, I'm sure you'll enjoy it." Hands slid inside the back pockets of her cut off jeans while she took a few steps forward, trying to keep the bald, tattooed headed man from coming any further into her shop. He rang trouble and since there'd been news of a lot of crime going on lately, she wasn't about to take any chances.
" Oh I'm sure I'll be visitin again sweet heart. Right now it's just a simple business call, if you will.." He closed the distance between the two, keeping all but a few feet between them " You see, your new in town.." Hand rose brushing a finger across her cheek. " We've been watchin ya. Watching who you've been hangin around and frankly, we don't like it. You're hangin 'round the wrong folk."
She knew his type.. He was the flunky, the one sent in first in case something went wrong. Un-attractive which kept the women away and due to that, most women could use that to there advantage. Alyssa knew that if anything went down, no one would even know until it was to late. Thus, she had to act wisely. Lips curled as she giggled.." Why yes, I am new in town.. Would love to have someone show me around" Brow arched as the smile continued while his finger brushed her cheek, all the while she wanted to smash his fucking skull in. " Really? Not sure who this we are? As far as me hanging around people, I've hung out with no one. Simply finding places to sit and relax when I have the chance.. If you've any suggestions, feel free to list them"
"Sweet heart, your little trick ain't gonna work on me.." In the matter of a split second, he fist was balled and smashed against her face catching the side of her mouth before that same hand came to meet her neck, fingers wrapping around for a tight hold. " you try it again and the out come will be far worse, ya hear? Now you listen to me, we find you hangin around them we'll be payin you another visit. Keep to yourself, stay out of this."
The split second, she should have reacted and yet she hadn't seen it coming. The hit to the mouth hurt like a son of a bitch and yet she stood tall without wavering as blood began to trickle down her lip and onto her chin. Even as his hand took to her neck, she made not a single move. Her air way was being shut off and slowly, that was going to leave a mark and on opening night no less.. Ass hole. She listened to his words but honestly didn't know whom he was even referring to. None the less, as soon as she saw her opening she reacted. His fingers were started to loosen which meant he'd let go if any trauma came to him, which it did. Bare foot wrapped itself around one of his legs and pulled hard sending the man flailing to the ground with a hard thud, head hitting the concrete. Fingers felt for the cold metal of the throwing knife in her back pocket and sent it flying, hitting right to the side of his balls, though still cutting flesh. " You step foot in here again and it's you that'll need to worry. Get the fuck out, make a single move in my direction and I'll have another sticking out of your heart.."
The warning had him surprised, though she could tell he hadn't taken the warning to heart. Instead, he spread that wicked grin across his face before pulling the blade out and tossing it to the ground before making his departure. What the fuck was going on!? Hand came to wipe the blood away, her mouth throbbing like a bitch. Not only will she have the bruises around her fucking neck but a fat lip to boot. Question was, should she go ahead with the grand opening or wait?. " Fuck it" She said out loud and marched her happy ass to the door, locking it but not before placing the new sign up
Grand Opening, Sundown.
